Hello. My name is Miss Mason and I am the Speech and Language Teacher at Hungerford Primary School. My role is to support and monitor the children with Speech and Language difficulties.

Speech and Language Teacher
Speech and language sessions at Hungerford Primary School are delivered to support childrens' communication, language and speech sound development in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Sessions are tailored to individual needs and may focus on areas such as attention and listening, understanding and using language, speech sound production, social communication skills or alternative communication methods such as PECs. Interventions are provided through a combination of support in the classroom or individual and small-group sessions. These sessions are planned with close collaboration between the SENCO, Speech and Language Therapist (when a referral has been made), school staff and families to ensure strategies are consistently reinforced in the classroom and at home. This integrated approach helps children build confidence and make meaningful progress in their communication skills.
